I have a 1973 corvette 350 and all the hoods I’ve seen have a vent/grill near the window and firewall like my brothers 76 has one and other 73s I’ve seen have those vent grill things but my hood doesn’t have one does that mean it’s not the stock hood? It looks like the stock height and stock hood?
Sounds like your car has a 1977 or later style hood on it now.
You are correct, it should have the vent, along with the flapper valve and solenoid for the cowl induction.
Cheers, Greg
Any good body shop should be able to match that paint.
It's not just a matter of cutting a simple hole in the hood to install the vent screen. Your hood will be missing the screen indentation (green) and these mounting tabs (yellow), shown in Donnie's pic.
Plus it will be missing all the lower ducting that fits the air cleaner. It may be easier to just leave it as it is if you're not too concerned with originality.

Greg's right about the paint. A buddy of mine had some paint work done this summer on his '37 Chevy street rod.
He had no idea what the color was but the body shop was able to make a perfect match.
It would be way easier to buy a new hood. Or just leave it alone...
