Default Connecting headers to side pipes

So I've got some side pipes bolted into the side of my C3 and have run into an issue. I almost need to make a U turn pipe withing the span of like 5 inches to connect my headers to the side pipes. I've tried flex tubing, it doesn't bend enough. Anybody got any really good ideas on how to connect these?

Have you looked at the 1969 factory side pipe set up?

Yes, the thing with them is that they go onto the stock manifold/log from the look of it. I've got long tube headers, making it way to long.

I'd run one 180° U pipe off the header, and take another 180° U pipe and cut it in half to connect it to the side pipe. Looks like you could complete the system with 3 180° bends.

DefaultBeen there done that too many times to count. At the end of the day the easiest and CHEAPEST is to just go to a muffler shop.

Can you cut enough off the end of the header to connect a 90 degree elbow.
You would be eliminating the flange from the end of the header.
The elbow would slide ONTO the shortened header tube and the other end of the elbow would slide INTO the sidepipe inlet.]
You might need a muffler shop to bend the 90 degree tubing so the different heights of the header and sidepipe line up.
The sidepipe would have to be unbolted and the sidepipe inlet slid onto the new tubing...then rebolt the sidepipe onto the car again.

you mean like the Hedman headers just an example you will need to look up the exact ones you want https://www.summitracing.com/parts/h...ette/year/1969
I dont knnow if you need small block or big block or sceramic or not....but I vote for ceramic. I have had both and non coated turns your car into an oven....down side is you cant break in a motor with ceramic headers or you will burn the coating off them
