Default Part?

Just got my 1980 C3 back from paint and I have some interior reassembly to do. Found this part in the “stuff” that came back with the car. Any idea where it goes??? Anyone recognize?

I have searched the AIM, but that’s not the easiest route. For all I know it’s perhaps not even from my car.

Thanks!

Pete

It holds the armrest on. This is the left door. Your part is from the right door.

This shows all 3 screaws.

Duke94,

Thanks!

One of the pitfalls of not doing the disassembly myself.

That's why we are all here! Nothing more fun than the "what is this part?" posts.

Very much appreciated.

This will be a long process. Unlikely to be my only ask, so careful what you wish for!

Hopefully I can return the favors at some point.

Default Another one

Here’s another. One from each side. Any ideas?

Left over from old windshield post weather stripping?

Thanks.

That would be item #56. What's the prize?

They are just rubbish now , they were in the rubber weatherseal . The new seal will have a similar piece embedded.

Thanks. Honestly, I hate when you get a box of "extra" parts back. It was all there when it went out. "Hope" it's all there when it returns. I wanted them to save some parts, but not some random bits that don't help. Then too, they managed to "lose" the vapor return line and a small bracket at the tank. So, lose or pitch that, but keep these small weather stripping clips. Amazing what can happen in a shop with lots going on.

Thanks for the find! That combined with the AIM makes for some good reading.

Kind of interested in the shop you used for painting as I see your from the St. Louis area ( maybe St Charles are from the photo). Were you happy with their work? How was the time line. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks
Larry
