Hi everyone, i noticed a small leak on my C3 cooling system the other day. I have identified the part that needs to be replaced but am unsure what its called. I have attached an image below. the part in question is located near the expansion tank and joins 2 hoses together. thanks in advance

water heater control valve. heater shut off valve.

its vacuum operated on the hvac control to let hot water flow into the heater core and blow hot air in the cabin.
It looks like a plastic replacement. the originals were metal and would rot out. the plastic ones get brittle with the heat.
if you do a search, many guys put a manual shut off valve because they fail and dont stop the flow,

Yes, your leaky one is already a replacement.
It is a vacuum operated Hot Water shutoff valve.
Just a FYI, do your research most replacements are made in China and will leak internally or shortly thereafter.
For around the same price you can get a old stock original made in the USA.
Either a Ranco model H25-144 or H25-177.
The only difference between the 144 & 177 is the vacuum nipple angle.
The 144 has the correct angle.
And this is a great time to replace your hoses.
Because you have A/C you need hoses that have the molded 90* end, 5/8" hose Gates 28473 3/4" hose Gates 28481 and should find them locally.
