A schematic might help you figure out those wires

It looks like someone has disabled your anti-theft relay.

More wiring diagrams are here:

Anti theft relay wires cut? It can be unplugged there. Seems like Bubba was at work.

I would like to know what the green wire is for. It's not plugged into anything on my '80 either.

And as bikespace and stingr say, the lt blue and dk blue with white stripe are for the anti theft relay which is what they went to with the orange-blk black and yellow wires there

Sorry, No idea (mines a lot older) Do you reverse lights work?
Normally (not looking at a schematic) lt-green is the headlight (nothing in the console for that) reverse light (automatic shifter would have a switch) and I think later on they used it for the locking converter circuits (can't see that in the console either but who knows) and then they sometimes used them for part of the a/c but that would be with a much larger connector i think. Same with a radio circuit
Remember there are some options that were wired but not there, CB radio? or something

Loose green wire is not the reverse light. That feature is on the shifter assembly. It has 2 pigtails, one for neutral safety and one for the backup lights. Green wire is something else.

I’ll share a picture of the under dash shortly, it might give some hints. I was successful on tracing the light green wire from the diagram and found out that it goes to multiple connections like
- pressure cycle SW
- backup lights SW
- converter lock vacuum SW
and the headlights (high beam never worked when I got the car)

so, This is the mess which I need to sort out, I think most of it was caused by the radio installer. Just a thought

Below the shifter

What do those two relays go to in your first image in Post 13? Those are not stock.

The choke heater relay is IN the first image, but it's the green relay with the intact wires. Let's call that item #3.

these 2 relays were connected to the power lock on the driver side through the door, the left side didn’t have any relays. Previously the power locks were not working anyway, I removed these relays and reconnected the 2 wires to their original matched color wires and will change the damaged power lock, will see what happens. Also the ground on the passenger side was very bad.
