You will need the spare from a Chevy S-10, current modern size tires will not fit in the tub. That statement is true for a C2, I'm assuming the C3 is the same.

In 80 you have a space saver rim with an original tire 195/80/15 which has a tire height of 27.28. The 245/60/15 measures in at 26.6
So you want a modern tire that comes close to the height.
205/75/15= 27.11
215/70/15= 26.9
I bought a 205 at Walmart to replace the spare. @$70. It will work to get you home & fits in the tub with the space saver rim.

I just went through this with my ‘81. I dropped the spare tire tub and the original unused spare was still there.
I had it removed from the steel rim and I cleaned and painted it. I had a 205/75R 15 mounted onto it. It fit into the tub with no problem.
