If it did have the F41 option it should have a 15/16” front sway bar, a seven leaf rear spring and a 9/16” rear sway bar. That’s according to my restoration book.
If the car is an untouched original, then possibly. The F41 suspension had a 7 leaf rear spring vs 9 on the std. Different front springs with a green tag with broadcast code of EA on it. Also, if the car is original and has the original shocks with the right date codes, that would be further evidence. The problem is that if you don't have documentation it is really hard to prove because all of those parts can replaced over the years. Is your car restored or unrestored?
Hi RYTOCOR, sullyman is correct that those are 'hints'. Is your car a bb? If it is, those 'hints' may not tell you the whole story except for the 7 leaf rear spring. If you don't have a 7 leaf rear spring and it looks like an original spring, the car 'probably' didn't come with F41 - if you have a 7 leaf and it looks original, the car 'probably' came with F41.
Another couple of hints:
* If the original shocks are still on the car (unlikely, but hey........), the F41 shocks are different than standard shocks - see the pic below for my '68. Also, the front springs are shorter (fewer coils) and more stiff than standard springs. Hope this helps. Best! Paul
'68 F41 shock installed '68 F41 shock date codes, numbers, etc.
Thanks every one really a big help
it’s a 427

Driving 6 hours to try and consummate a transaction
an even trade my 62 for his 68 L71
he has a tank sheet in pieces in a plastic bag so basically it’s a non documentation car my car is Nom engine all his numbers seem to check out I’m waiting on confirmation from a few members on here to at least give me their no obligation opinion.
this group is great thank you again
Interesting. Ours is a verified (tank sheet, NCRS) L71 and I did a lot of checking on it too. My gut tells me that an L71 is more likely to have F41, but I don't have anything to back that up. If it does have the original F41 type shocks, that's a really good indicator - as would be a 7 leaf spring that looks original (all that stuff can be changed out, but not likely if they're original looking - read well worn - items). If you can tell where the C3 was originally shipped and the dealer is still in business, they may have records - long shot. You also might be able to put the tank sheet pieces together like a puzzle and make out some of the stuff you want to know.
This is part of the fun for sure. Let us know what you find! Good hunting, Paul
PS: I'm sure you already know about the other hints that the car was originally a 427 car like armor on original rear brake lines (see above pic), caps instead of u-bolts on the half-shaft to diff, your L71 won't have a return fuel line, etc........................

ONLY the L88 and L71/L89 could have the option of the F41. I believe on the L88 it was a required option but I know for sure that you had to CHOOSE that option if you wanted it on the L71. But no other engine option allowed it. About half of all L71/L89’s had the F41 option in 1968. So your gut can be trusted!
Buy the numbers in 1968
80 L88’s
624 L89’s
2898 L71’s
1758 F41
And I agree, try to piece that tank sticker together! Look for any clue you can on those pieces of paper.
