A question about 1976 steering wheels

Was a tilt,telescoping steering column a available on the 76 Corvette?

They are available, but a bit pricey. There is also a kit that you can install which will allow you to choose practically any C3 wheel which is they way I went on my 76.

I've always wondered....does that kit put the wheel any closer to the driver?
I've wanted to change mine for years...

The odd thing with the GT wheel,years ago people were putting these wheels in everything now tge 76 owners can't stand them. Doesn't change my opinion though,was the Corvette wheel identical to the Camaro wheel or was the hub arraignment different?

No, not really.My stock "vega" wheel was sticky and a mess and also butt ugly.I put a mahogany wheel on with a kit like this one:

That's good to know. With the tele all the way in it's still too close.
If I had T-Rex arms it would be just right.
