Default NOS Mirrored T-Tops

I just bought a set of NOS T-Tops still in the box at an auction. I hope they turn out good and work on my ‘68! I wonder how rare it is to find a set of NOS mirrored t-tops

Yes, it's rare to find NOS...do they have labels/box/ etc to show NOS?
You do know that the tops are date-coded...so you can find what 78-82 they came from.
There were four different tops installed so you'll need to adapt them.

You will have to buy some more parts and modify you car by DRILLING HOLES in the car to attach the rear keepers which have the alarm switches built into them.

Pray tell how much for the set???

good luck.

I don't recall a gray tint, but they may be mirrored which looks like gray. If you only paid $120 and they are GM NOS mirrored tops...you stole them. Those run re-popped for $1,200 or more. Hal, get off the forum and get back to work.

OUCH! So the UPS Store just called and said they had the tops in two separate boxes and they have packed them securely and will be shipping them out UPS Ground with arrival next Thursday. Then they proceeded to rape my credit card. Who knew shipping was so damn expensive.

OH NO................. shipping them ???? rut ro rastro................more often then not they got tossed around & abused & arrive broken in a million pieces. I have heard this many, many, times. The buyer of one of my pairs that I sold lived 3 - 4 hrs away & paid me extra to hand deliver them. Fingers crossed for ya forum brotha !!! Hope you got good insurance too because the UPS "STORE" isn't the same as UPS !!
Hoping for the best !

They are shipping glass. Glass is fragile.

So the T-Tops arrived and they are spectacular. I am not sure if they are NOS as advertised but they sure look like they are. The brown spots that I thought were mud are actually original pieces of the packaging material so these were never used and just stored away. The rubber is still pliable.

So the question, are they factory T-Tops and will they fit my ‘68?

They are mirrored on top and blue underneath.

I did read that they will sit about 1/8” to 3/16” above the roof line and are designed to do so.

Thats awesome! Thanks for the confirmation.

I also just removed the little triangle and they almost line up with the third hole. I bet if I move the bracket just a little it will be a good fit. Is that supposed to do that?
