My wife and I were watching a travel show last night and the episode took place in Ontario. When they showed some sites in Merrickville, an ice cream shop was included. I told my wife that I had seen that shop before on the Corvette Forum. Sure enough, that was where Paul would drive his Corvette for ice cream when he took it out of storage.

For those that remember Paul, his first ice cream in 2016 photo he posted: RIP Paul
Awesome that you spotted that, I miss Paul's annual year in review that would be coming up around this time of the year. (and miss Paul in general, great guy)
I wonder what every happened to his 74. Hopefully his son took it over and is enjoying it as much as Paul did. I always figured that was probably a good one to have since you know if any little thing was wrong with it Paul had it taken care of and kept it as a great "driver"
Thanks for posting that

What I also find interesting is someone in Tampa watching a travel show about rural Ontario, AND recognizing an ice cream shop WITHOUT the corvette in the picture....good eye,

My wife also found it interesting....she asked me "why after 50 years of marriage, you can't remember things I tell you or show you? Of course I didn't tell her it's a special gift that's only given to men. On the other hand, one day I was trying to isolate a miss on my 454 and she asked me if I gapped the spark plugs to .035 and set the dwell at 30. Just when you think that women don't pay attention to our hobbies.
I wasn’t a member for very long when Paul passed, but I do remember the thread discussing it.
Cruising for ice cream in your Corvette.
Life just doesn’t get much better than that.
...I believe before the '74 convertible he had a white or beige '79 L-82 coupe, for those that remember back that far. RIP Paul. He always had very detailed pics too of whatever he was working on or repairing. Wish I would have had a chance to meet him!!!
If I recall he had a green 67 coupe, with a 'glide and custom wheels in between the 79 & 74. I built the box for his 74 a couple of years before he passed, nice guy.
I remember when he changed his forum name from Paul67 to Paul74 when he bought the 74. Never met the man but had many conversations with him here on the forum. I remember when he passed it was a sad day as many here commented on his passing. I'm sure he had many real life friends as well as many here on the forum. May he RIP.
