Somebody has played with the "striker bolt" at the jamb.
It will need a large allen torx bit to loosen with a ratchet and move the bolt inward.
Then snug down, test for fitment again. Adjust accordingly.
But first.
I would take a pencil and trace the outline of the striker. Then if something needs to be returned to the original location, you will have a reference mark.
That didn't even cross my mind. I was leaning towards whether or not the vehicle had been hit on the passenger side rear. While going over it last night I found this in the same area.
How is the interior fitment of the pass door? Does it look right? Or does it look pushed out also? So is the inner door panel flush with the door jamb? Or is there a gap?
I ask because maybe the quarter panel is the culprit here. Hard to tell.
