I have a 77 C3 Corvette that has the high low beam switch on the turn signal lever. I have a new switch but I do not have the linkage rod that connects it on the lower steering column to the turn signal and highbeam switch on the upper column. I don’t think the part is available anymore but would sure like to have a picture of it so I can fabricate one. Anyone with info on this please get backOn this thread or at TMTURBO 2@aol.com
There were 2 different dimmer switch actuator rods.
Without T&T column GM #7827145
With T&T column GM #7827004
Sorry I don't have a total length but this rod is from a 77 with T&T column GM #7827004.
Both are 1 year only and very hard to find.
Do you happen to know if anyone has correctly fabricated the rod? Also, is there a part number for end cap to the rod?
Thanks,
Rain
There is no part number for the plastic piece, it is all one assembly. I do know that the 78 rod was all metal and the end just was bent resembling the plastic piece used on the 77.
I'm trying to find the part number for the 78, so far no luck...
I know we can put in a later switch and pivot. I've done it with help from this forum. So it stands to reason you could get the rod out of a 78-82 column and then the plastic pusher piece as well and retro fit it into the 77 column.
