Default 1969 Red color name?

Hello everyone, I'm resotoring a 69 stingray that's been sitting for 20+ years. I just got it running and driving this last weekend, and will be painting in the spring.

My big question is what color red is the "factory red paint" called for these years. I saw torch red and Victory red have been used. Is victory red the correct color?

I plan to keep this car for a min, but when I sell it will it hurt value more if I did a darker red? Like DrPepper Red?

The factory color was called Monza Red - code 974. Only red for 1969

Yes, a color change will devalue most early C3s. The expense is high to paint a C3 whether it’s the correct color or the wrong color. Closest shade to Dr Pepper is 988 burgundy

Unless you are doing 100% original or NCRS, changing the red colour slightly should not affect value. Mine was Daytona Yellow but it's too dull for me, so I painted it a brighter yellow. 99% of people will never know.
