I small cosmetic thing irritates me on my '81 in that the front corners of the T-Bar stainless trim do not sit flat and flush with the corner schrome trim pieces, as if the front edge that sits directly behind the black glass trim surround needs to drop further in the slot.
Question.... on the pic below, is the front edge of the stainless T bar trim supposed to sit in the middle of this clip as shown on the right of this pic, i.e between the two black steel faces, or is it supposed to go behind the rear most black vertical p[art of the clip between that and metal windshield frame. At the moment it looks like it's trying to sit between them but the head of the screw is stopping it dropping in all the way, given me about a 1/8 gap at the frond end where it is supposed to lie flat and flush. Just don't want to force anything.
For the record, the pic is not of my car and I don't want to pull any harder on my trim to remove it as it is very firmly in place despite removing all the screws, top, side and rear of header etc and I REALLY don't want to bend or crease the stainless.
There this guy is inserting his screwdriver is where mine won't sit flush because the front edge is not getting past the clip in the previous pic and I don't know what part of the clip it is meant to sit in.
