Ordering my paint in a few days and I'm still undecided on the paint colour.
I have a mille miglia red 71' atm and I'm not 100% ill keep it mille miglia or change to torch red.
Due to the photobucket fiasco a few years back we lost a lot of pictures on the forum. So if you have pictures of red corvettes with a known paint(code) im happy to see them...
Like the darker reds...torch is awful bright and orangery. Youre the one who has to like it thoguh
Take a look at other mfrs never know when something will jump out and call your name.
The Dark Red Metallic say on the 89 C4 would look awesome on the C3
Never seen a Hugger orange (know you didnt ask but speaking or orange..)C3 think it would look great
Here’s mine it’s not an original 69 color
if interested let me know I have the paint slip from the previous owner in its file. I believe it’s a color from a 76 corvette.
This is a friend’s 2019 Grand Sport. The color is called Long Beach red metallic.
Dark reds are my favorite! We have a 2016 Long Beach Red and it is a super nice dark red, I would call it a darker brick red. Had a Torch red 04 too and it was a really bright red. And finally had an 08 Crystal red which I would say is a little more of burgundy red and likely my favorite. And of course if you want period correct, 69 Burgundy would be my pick.
Your Corvette, and any dark red would be great, IMHO!
(BTW, you can google these color Corvettes and see what you like, but sometimes hard to tell color shades from the internet. Another thing I have learned recently is that what color primer you use under the base coat can make the same base color look lighter or darker. For example a white primer sealer coat will make the base look lighter than a dark gray primer sealer coat)
Forgot, another great dark red is the 93 40th anniversary Ruby Red, another favorite of mine.

torch red but the 78 with Sikkens 359 looks like torch red when the cars are side by side.
GM Victory Red - WA9260. It's darker and less orange than Torch Red. This pic was obviously taken in the shade, and my avatar shows a comparison of a picture taken in the sun.
And you can add me to the list of those who love Torch Red!

I don't know how to post pics. I had mine painted in 1981. It was originally Silver, but I wanted Red. The 69 red seemed to have a lot of orange in it so I went with 79 Corvette Red. I believe this is the same code for 79 Camaro Berlinetta Red.
