Another a/c question for 80

I’m replacing the entire ac system and I want to check my math. Do I put 12oz of oil in a dry system? Thanks

been a while, i use r-12 and 12 sounds like too
much.

r12 mineral oil for 79 in pics..and where to add oil.
personally i would put oil in dry, then pressure check with dry compressed air and see if it holds for a few hours..then vacuum and recheck hours later or overnight…you may need to redraw down after first vacuum after an hour as moisture boils out.
add r12..
You can get all of the r12 in pics f heated without running compressor..
