Last year, today, or maybe tomorrow, we learned that our daughter was 'alert' after presenting at ER with nearly neither kidney nor liver function after some minor surgery. My wife flew out Christmas Day.
It's been a year of recovering. Ten months in her neighbor noted that she'd got her "sparkle back".
There is no Bah humbug here. But I joke about it (see above) to relieve the stress.
