Centre console with radio delete?
Can you purchase centre consoles like the one shown below but without the radio cut out, as if it came with radio delete?
I assume radio delete had their own specific console, or did they come with a blanking plate in '81?

No separate bezel. With radio delete you got the blanking plate. There were less than a thousand 80-82 cars with radio delete.

Cool, I've got one of the 315 '81s having just received my original dealer invoice - got Gymkhana, too - just missing the plate but wasn't sure if my centre cluster had been changed or not, at least I know it;s original and just missing the plte.
Can you buy repro plates?

I purchased the car from the second owner just down the road - car spent its entire life on Long Island, mostly locked away in a garage.
I don't need those radio ***** anymore, but thanks for the offer!

Can't seem to find it on their website - have you got a link you could share?
Thanks!

68-76 would be a different plate than a 77-up. The center cluster is different.

I thought they also have curved backing to fit the earlier more sculpted consoles?
EDIT: Just found this image....

I think this one looks nicer, cleaner. If it fits it a better match to the rest of the cluster. GM too.

I'm going to try to manufacture one myself so it looks like the earlier design with the raised chrome ridge round the perimeter.
Anything has got to look better than that frankly terrible parts bin effort by GM

Yeah, that looks pretty bad on there.
I was in this same boat, but it was for the top plate for the ac vents. Finally gave up looking and made my own, and of course a week later I found it on ebay.
Good luck
