Welcome to the Forum!

59 U/L is silver beige upper/ Lower.
59 I is the silver beige interior.
103575 consecutive unit number

G 013. - Date code. Is the "G" possibly a "C"?
Do you have a picture of the Trim Tag?

Here's the trim tag
I think you are right in that it could be a C and not a G. What does the whole date code mean please? Many thanks for the warm welcome and your help so far, as this is all new to me

C = 1982 Model year. 01 = January. B= Second week

'81-'82 Bowling Green cars ONLY, there is a letter following the last number in the date code. This letter represents the week of the month, ie: A= 1st week, B= second week, etc.

1982:

  • C10 October 1981
  • C11 November 1981
  • C12 December 1981
  • C01 January 1982
  • C02 February 1982
  • C03 March 1982
  • C04 April 1982
  • C05 May 1982
  • C06 June 1982
  • C07 July 1982
  • C08 August 1982
  • C09 September 1982
  • C10 October 1982

Thank you once again, you have been most helpful.

I'm interested in trying to find the history of the car as it has very little paperwork. Would you be aware of a way in doing this or is it impossible to do? It is a Californian registered car where it remained as far as I'm aware, until shipped to the UK recently.

If you want copies of the original documents- here you go: https://www.corvettemuseum.org/learn...ndow-stickers/

As far as owner history- you could try a title search in each state the car was registered. You can start with the California Secretary of State or a DMV. Good Luck.
