Default 1970 exhaust bezel

I have a 1970 350 and need to install exhaust bezels on rear of car. The car never had them and I can’t find any place that shows the location of these bezels. I have the square type. Does anyone know where I can get the dimensions to show where these bezels should be installed.
thanks

You have either the wrong rear valance or someone glassed over where the bezels were. Yours appears to be the rear valance for a (correct for 1969) side mounted exhaust.
Look underneath for signs of where the areas were glassed in. If no evidence, then the whole valance was replaced at some point.
Not a big deal to replace. This is the correct valance. No big deal to replace.

That entire rear valance has been glassed in. It will not be trivial to get it back to stock.

Rob,
Post up a pic of the inside of that same area. Previous owner of mine did the same thing. Luckily, they left me enough of a lip inside to attach the factory bezels back. Replacing the valance will be a royal pain. IF they did like mine, I was able to cut it and fit the bezels in about 90 minutes and didn't have to do any paint work.

i have cut out a few glassed in valences/bezels before, a pic of the backside will tell a tale, ive used a dremel to remove the glass, if the old opening framework is still there you have your pattern, cut out and install trim and be on your way. i have also bought the fiberglass flanges if they were gone and glued them on to the inside back corner of quarter panel so i could attach the trim

Jim
do you have dimensions of how you cut in your bezels. Could you measure from the license plate bezel edge to the edge of your exhaust bezel?
I think I will get some exhaust bonding strips and glue/ fiber them in

thanks all

Hey Rob,
I can get any measurements and pics to help, but my car is a 69 so the bezel is different. Same process, just a different shape. Did they leave you any of the flange/structure behind the valance?

Thanks for the picture. I bought the car a few years back as is and have been working on it. I installed an entire new suspension, rebuilt trans and engine all numbers matching. I will have to see if there are any structure left, I hope there is. If not I will have to do my best.
thanks again
