Relay Rod
Hello and best wishes for 2022. I am installing a relay rod rebuild kit in the relay rod of my 69 non p.s. My question is about the large screw, (cap) at the end. I realize that there is a cotter pin that slides in but how far in does the screw have to screwed be into the rod? Flush to the rod end or to push the ball stud to the far end of the opening on the relay rod? Thanks and take care.

I used the link below when rebuilding my 72s non ps steering relay rod. It stated that " Tighten it until the slot in the end plug lines up with holes in the end of the relay rod. The plug should be flush with the end of the relay rod. "
