What are specific things that I should look at on an 82. Looking at buying a friends car.

i don't like the spoiler and body kit. but if it is done well and paint is good and you like it that is up to you. roll down to post 107. read. condition, especially rust is the biggest thing. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...orvette-6.html

I have an'82 and love it. If it is still crossfire injection, I would be sure and let it warm up to operating temp and see how it idles, etc. You won't have a full picture by just running around the block or a quick highway run. After it is hot it should settle down to 600 RPM or so. Other than that, watch for the usual C3 issues with rust and check the electrical stuff well (locks, windows, headlights). As I said, I really like the '82 C3. A great cruiser. Hope it works out for you!

I am partial to 82 CFI, they can run very well if done right. The two biggest things about CFI are, TB balance and fuel pressure. If those two are good, then the rest is a piece of cake.
