I bought hurst super shifter linkage and shifter 1969-79 for my Muncie 4 speed and the linkage came with a spacer block to go in between the shifter handle and the body, am I supposed to use this does anyone have any experience with this? And does anyone know of any good videos walking through how to put this linkage on because the instructions that came with my order sucks and I’m struggling.
how many spacers did they give you if you dont use them you wont get it into reverse
Im pretty sure theres one the thickness of the shifter flat part thats the one Im using the bolts that were on it were a little to short so I used others that were a little longer

-ah ok so that’s what it’s for, it’s one spacer about 0.4 inches thick
yes thats what I have if you dont use it the shifter will rest all the way to the right ,, I used the retro shifter that looks like original one but you dont have to pull up to get it in reverse ,, dont use the hurst reverse switch its a nightmare to install you can use the one thats on the car already
