Nice to meet you all! I grew up hearing about the beautiful Corvette my parents had to sell once I was born (no room for a car seat!), and my dream is to buy one for them someday. Some old pictures are attached. Can anyone help me identify the specific year, exterior/interior color, and other options that I should search as I look for listings (or even if you know of one for sale)? Growing up I remember hearing about the T-tops and its unique metallic gold/brown/orange/champagne/amber color. A friendly forum elsewhere said this is likely a '75, and my guess based on available stock colors that year is that it's Medium Saddle Metallic-67, though it does seem orange in some of the pictures too (but I don't think Orange Flame-70 is likely, based on how it was described at the time). Also the interior seems to be a light color, but what would be the difference between Neutral versus Medium Saddle interior (which are 2 of the 3 options, in addition to Black, that came with the Medium Saddle exterior)? Any thoughts would be appreciated - one day I hope to post here as an owner! Thank you.

IMHO it's a 75. In 76 they changed the steering wheel, In 74 the rear bumper had a split in it. As well as 75 was the first year of the bumperettes. It has an alarm added.
Now look at the color codes...Medium Saddle is more brown. This looks TO ME to be Orange Metallic
Medium Saddle interior= Coffee color.
Good news is that this should be available and not break the bank. The luggage rack was put on at the dealer as well as the right side mirror.
Thanks for all this info! Feeling good it's 1975, but if this link is correct then I believe the only exterior color options would have been Medium Saddle Metallic or Orange Flame, but not Orange Metallic (which I hear you, looks like the color on this one could be an Orange Metallic based on pictures of later 70s C3s). I will try to find more old photos to see if it's more apparent in different light...

I would show the pics to folks and tell them that you discovered these old pics. Have them talk about the car and discreetly ask about the colors and if they liked it and if they had a color choice they would have desired more than that. Dont mention the thought of buying the car. IF they loved that old color then search for it but if they wished it was red or blue then you can search for a car with those colors. Searching Craigslist and FB marketplace should turn up alot of 75's
this is my medium saddle metallic auction bomb. paint was really beat but i think it is accurate color matching the trim tag. and matching the layers of paint underneath. i hate the color. now white.
I have old photos from the 70's as well, and yes they do diss color a fair bit. I can remember what they looked like, and what they look like now. Based on my experience with these old "Drug store" developed photos. I Would say this is the metallic saddle exterior. looks like a light saddle interior and yes this definitely looks to be a 75.
Not thinking it's my favourite color either. And also thinking most would agree. Making this a affordable car to buy.
75 being the lowest HP year. And a color that is not popular.
Then the next question is, was this an Automatic car?
L48?
If so at the lowest of the price scale.
I know it's all a matter of personal taste but I quite like the Medium Saddle on a '75. It's a refreshing change in an ocean of red, blue, black cars.
Yes , my memory indicated that this is metallic brown... no real orange in the paint. (Maybe my LEAST favorite corvette color.)...I had a Malibu that color....) good luck in the search.
