1982 c3 air filter cosmetics
While Im closing off my mechanical repair marathon on my recently acquired 82 CFI, I wanted to ask is there any way I can make the whole air filter assembly thing more cosmetically appealing? I really like how air filters look on carbureted engines, but with my 82 the engine bay looks like a drab monochrome mess of the air filter and vacuum lines burying the engine.

The 82 fuel injected Crossfire is the only Air-cleaner on a Corvette with black crackle finish. Probably the most expensive air-cleaner in a corvette, It's a ram air aircleaner.
You do not have room for an aftermarket air cleaner, nor for at least ten engineering reasons, do you really want one.
You can remove the black crackle chemically and have it chromed??? Talk to your powder coater.
