Default Questions about 2 wires

Hi,

I have some questions about 2 wires close to the fusebox on my 71 :

- The pink wire with a black line is connected to the fusebox. It has a free connector. Is it normal ?

- In the top of the next photo, I have a cut yellow wire there. I looked at a willcox wiring diagram but I'm not sure to understand. Is it linked to the coil ?
Another thing, my Vette doesn't want to start recently. Is it due to this cut yellow wire ?

Thanks for your help.

Alex

Yes, when they put power windows in they used that spot on the fuse-panel and the extra loose wire made the spot available again for other use

Re: Yellow wire. Does that wire come out of the back of the fuse box? If yes, do your wipers and washers work?

OK, thank you. I had a doubt because I saw a photo on the net where this connector was used.

I will check tomorrow but this wire probably comes out of the back of the fuse box. Thank you. If it concerns the wipers and washers, I have to determine why my car doesn't start. I think the starter doesn't work (no sound) and a yellow wire is linked to it so I thought about my cut wire...

Your car doesn't want to start recently? As in not even turning over? Or as in turning over but not start? Do you remember the last thing you did to the car prior to 'not starting?'

It usually easily starts every WE. Yes , It didn't want to start on Sunday 2 weeks ago. It started but for some reason I don't know, the engine stalled. The weather is cold and humid where I live so it can explain that as the engine was cold. After that, turning the key had no effects. I thought the battery was low. The last WE on Saturday (so 1 week after), I tried again with the same result. I decided to charge the battery all the night, but it was still the same. I have to check the battery with a Voltmeter but I have doubt it is the guilty.

The last 2 weeks, the only thing I did was to take out the steering box to rebuild it and put it back.

Someone told me the starter could be blocked...

I didn't cut it. I noticed it was cut the last Saturday. That's why I asked you what role this yellow wire plays in the car.

If it was previously cut and the car ran before u discovered it.... Then that wire isn't the culprit. Is the wire constant hot, or only when key Is on
