Default Pulled dash and found something interesting...

So i pulled the vettes dash today (HUGE PITA BTW TOOK ME 2 HOURS)

but I found something written on the gauges. Looks like it was written a very long time ago based on that old smiley and fading. Any ideas what C.A.T :-) could mean? Looking at the pic looks like something else is also written behind there but Im too tired to go back down the garage and check ill do that tmr.

It looks like a marking a junk yard puts on a part before selling it. Jerry

No idea what it means, but I like to write my name somewhere hidden on my cars. Just one of those little personal touches I like to do.

I doubt that It's factory because of the periods used between letters. Factory workers were trained to, and didn't want to take very long to mark anything.
An example is when they went from using "score marks" to designate how many body shims to use a the different locations to just writing the digit for the number of shims needed, like 1,2,3, etc. It took less time to do. Seriously.
