wheel trim ring repair/replacement
Recently acquired 1972. Attachment clips on the stainless wheel trim rings and bent/distorted and do not attach to rim. Very tough spring steel. Solution?? 1) new rings? 2) replace clips? 3) repair clips somehow? ADVICE????

If it’s an original style trim ring with four clips. I believe it’s really difficult to change out the clips. You might look up georickproducts, he restores trim rings and sells them on flea bay. He would offer the best advice.

Hey delandjohn, not sure if this is impacting anything in your case, but be aware that if you have larger than 'stock' tires on stock rims, it can make these crazy clips even harder to install.
