Maybe talk with the better half and maybe sell the house and live out of this Corvette???
(U KNOW, I am thinking why not paint this 68 I am working on NOM black and buy some red interior paint dye???? Why should I be bound to some long gone buyer who checked the "wrong box" on a 1967 order form, hmmmm......)

Striking color combo even if factory exterior is originally red. Interesting read those repair notes. If bid keeps increasing, I'd be concerned about that engine stamp. The font looks good. But what are those swirls I see? From cleaning the stamp pad? I don't see broach marks. I assume big blocks also had broach marks. Is 135/140 compression normal for the 427/435?
Florida salty air. Be nice to see pics relating to bird cage. Usual kick panel removal investigation, around windshield frame, rockers, and then frame rear kick up. To me, to go beyond $50K, these items would need to be addressed. But real tripower cars are apex cars.
The pad would be a problem. It looks like the block was decked.
This car will not get top dollar. That’s not to say it will not sell for a decent amount, but if it was the original color with a nice pad it would’ve got more then whatever it ends at.
Looks like the transmission isn’t original either.

Yes, it looks like a restamp to me. I hope the potential buyers realize that.
If this car had original docs, original color combo/trim tag and original motor it would pull well north of $100k. As is sits it is a nice car to drive and enjoy and the lower bidding should reflect that.
Well dang... Guess I did not look close enough and assumed things were correct (outside the color change)... Regardless.. Certainly is an awesome looking car. My projection of the final price was probably a bit high based on what y'all have pointed out above. The last couple 427/390's sold on BAT have been a couple pennies short of $100k ... Will be interesting to see where this one lands given the 427/435 .. All comments above considered.

There are certainly MUCH better deals out their for high h.p. BBs than that. BAT is the place for knowledgeable people to SELL not buy.
Bidding stalled out and sold for 71k. If this was a real Tuxedo Black/ Red interior with docs and the original motor is would have brought low 100's. Given that, the sell price was higher than I thought it should have been on this car
