Default Project finalization

Hello all;
im just starting to finalize my 1980 vette project, (body lift off). Now reaching on the painting part. I’m wondering what colors would be the best for the engine compartment and the under body color. Should I go for a semi gloss, satin or mat black.

pictures would be appreciated

thanks and regards to all

Satin...even when dusty it still looks clean.

I have found satin seems to match under hood the best. But my frame was sprayed with that rubberised undecoating when I bought It 33 years ago. So hard to tell for me under there. However I have found all my suspension parts to be a satin black.

I used Dupli-Color engine enamel on almost everything. The black I used was low gloss.
The air cleaner base I had powder coated. And I used Krylon Fusion on the plastic air intake to the snorkel.

Semi-gloss has worked for me.
Seems to match what was there.
