dumb question: (I have ordered the appropriate owner's & repair manuals, but I'm impatient...
1969 C3 convertible. What is this round pull out chrome color **** below the speedo; to the right of the vent?
Secondarily: there are 3 ***** mounted on the underside of the dash (you can see the left 2 in the pic) - are these the wiper shut off ***** I've seen mentioned?
The short black one is the trip odometer reset, the one to the right of it is for opening the headlights without turning them on.
So I've read, I haven't tried either in the week I've owned my car.
Hello heel 78. The round chrome pull out **** open and closes a "door" that allows air come out the vent to the left. The small **** closest the chrome pull out is as AKjeff said for resting the odometer. To the right of that is a pull down **** that opens the headlights upright but does not turn them on. Next to that is a round ****, I believe yours looks broken or missing, this stops your wiper blades in the up position so they can be cleaned, worked on or whatever. To the right of that round **** is another pull down **** that opens the wiper door without using the wiper switch. Both of the two pull down ***** work off of having a vacuum so your car will probably have to be running to get the vacuum for them to work. Take care.
