Default Lock issue

So my 1982 has a lock issue on the passenger side. I am able to lock it with key and with the **** just fine, but when I bring the key back to center to take it out, the lever moves just a little bit but enough to unlock the car, effectively making it so I can't lock the damn thing. Same thing when I slam the door shut, seems like the force is enough to unlock the car. The thing is just too sensitive to the smallest movement. Anyone have any suggestions?

Just a thought, take your inner door panel off and adjust the lock rod.

Found the issue. Passenger side lock cable slightly too long, pushes locking lever back when lock is engaged. Made a bracket to offset the rod and now its perfect

Great! Now you can quit slamming the door.
