Would someone be kind enough to measure their C3 for me? I need to determine if a Quickjack 7000 will fit between the tires of my C3. It's a '71 with standard 15" rally wheels, unfortunately the chassis is completely disassembled so I can't take the measurement myself.
Quickjack says the measure between the front and rear tires 3" up from the ground must be at least 72-3/4". Using the C3's 98" wheelbase and a guesstimate for the diameter of my eventual tires, I THINK the distance would be in the vicinity of 70-80" so I just want to be sure the jack frame will fit.

79 here ymmv
no 72 inches will not work.
note the frame turns in front too.
i get 53 inches on both jack points on frame and have the 5000 model.
i bought the extensions if i need larger for suv which lay on top.
i think mine is on qj half the time..too easy leave it on ground and drive over..

Thanks for the quick reply. I think the 72-4/3" between tires (at 3" off ground) is to ensure the QJ frame can fit between the tires and have enough room for movement to begin the lift. The 53" between jack points is what they call jack point spred and that is well within the limits of the 5000 and 7000 models.
The current models of the 5000 require either a tire spread of > 70" or 76". The 7000 TL I'm interested in needs 70-3/4"
Mine just said quickjack 5000 2 years ago..
Are you sure the 5000 and 7000 has same pad opening distance? Mine only has 4 inches to spare in pad pocket before the 5000 is too big.
i get 73 inches approximately 3 inches above tire bottom. if i add the extension for longer wheelbase i cannot fit pads properly as they move out. I hope that makes sense, they may have changed from when i bought a couple years ago.
i suggest costco as you can return anytime if needed..get your money back if. You have membership.
I have a 7000SLX, no problems. A bit tight with the side exhaust up front, required a specific height spruce 4 x 4 to make life easier. I have 17" rally wheels.

The current QJ models differ a bit from the ones you looked at a few years ago. The current 5000 and 7000 models both have lift point spans of 37-60" for the TL models or 43-60" for the TLX models. That should work for me since I guess that my lift points are 40-48" apart or even if they are up to 53" like yours.
Both TLX models require 78" or more of distance between the tires at 3" high while the 5000TL requires 72+" and the 7000TL requires 72-3/4"+. So If you're saying your span between tires is 73" at 3", then I should have 1/4" to spare for using the 7000TL. It's close, but do-able and there's always the last-resort option of driving up on some 3/4" plywood or 2x? lumber to raise the tires up and increase the span between the tires at 3" above the ground.

The 7000TL model I'm interested in requires 3/4" more room between the tires than your 7000SLX does and that's the "critical unconfirmed" dimension I'm worried about. In your pictures it looks like there is more than 3/4" excess room available to fit between the tires even considering the 2" buffer QJ mentions in their measurement guide.
I think I'll go ahead and pull the trigger on the 7000TL so I can also use it under my Avalanche p/u and my wife's Chrysler 300. I'll order direct from QJ with their 2/22/22 Sale for 22% off rather than getting it through Costco at a higher cost but with bundled extras (storage hooks & SUV/Truck lifts) that I'm not sure I'd need to use.
Thanks for your help.
I'll let you know how it works out once I get the QJs and get my restoration back to a rolling chassis mode...
I have the 7000SLX. Using it on both my '73 and my 4x4 Suburban. Works fine on both vehicles. I also picked up the SUV adapters which I recommend. I'm thinking if you only need 3/4" more room as compared to the 7000SLX, you should be fine depending on tire size. My tires are just over 27".

Thanks!
I can't easily access my old wheels/tires just now, but I believe they're about 27"ish also so hopefully all will be good!
