1982 owner here. I drive my car to school, and theres 2 different roads to school, the bad way and the worse way. The bad way is a about 30-40 mph road with lights, potholes, and bad drivers. The worse way is a freeway with bad drivers going 80 mph. I elect to go the bad way, bc id rather be in a collision at 30 mph then 80. Anyway, the road has potholes, many of which I cant avoid. Am I damaging my car (other than tires) by running these? I dont run them fast, about 25-30mph. The frame has no rust, no suspension problems that I know of. Thanks
If you are not hitting big and deep potholes at high speeds you shouldn`t do damage to the frame but you will be putting alignment out . also if car bottoms out you could do damage to oil pan .
look at the positive side,if you live in the great state of N.Y. and you drive on the L.I.E. avoiding potholes is an art form,it will improve your driving skills or your vette will incur serious damage.
