That is really awesome, wish I could say the same but never pulled the trigger on a new one. Tell us more about the car!
It has 37k miles, one repaint in the original Targa blue in 2007. The interior is all original.
Back then people seemed to just drive them in any weather. Now you can get a very low
mileage car that's 5 or 6 years for a lot less that it cost new, which I've done a few times.
I plan to burden the kits with it and the rest of my stuff.
Beautiful ride, you sure took care of the old lady.
Thanks. It was a struggle to keep it out of the slop and salt at first. I bought a $60 beater that was also a struggle just to keep running. First winter it was stored in a friends race shop,
Second winter I rented a garage (also not easy to find) then in 1974 I bought a house with a 2 car garage.

Congrats brother... And boy does this sound familiar. Bought new, blue....me too.
I was 18 and my Dad let me use his one car garage for my baby. The 1st winter I worked the graveyard shift so I was able to use the old man's car.
I had a new daytime job and I was doing alright in the winter '77-'78, when I bought my 1st beater. A '71 Corolla.
After that I've always had a garage. And a #2. The only way you can keep 'em nice right?
I've been lucky, she still has original paint and I'm at 77k on the clock...

Wow and congrats. You beat me be 2 years, I was 20. Your 50th will be soon.
My came from the factory with touched up paint and finger marks where they sanded it above the right side tail lights.
Another weird thing my car did was break the windshield just sitting in the garage. It started as a small crack behind the review mirror and over the years it split and went all the
way to the bottom. I had it replaced when we repainted the car in 2007. I asked the glass guy, whom I've known for about as long as I've owned the car, why it would that.
He said you wash it too much and rust caused it. I haven't washed it since. I just use detailer and spray wash-and-wax.

Congrats on the 50th, i am right behind you at 47 years with my 75.
My windshield also developed a small crack near the mirror about 10 years ago just sitting in the garage, it spread fast so just replace it.
