I'm the only person who's ever changed the oil on my Vette.
Every 3k or less from day one.
I'm too old & stubborn to change now...

I use Mobil 1 synthetic. I change my oil once a year whether it needs it or not.

I change my oil twice a year. Once when I put the engine in, in the spring and again after I break it in. I've been doing that for 5 years...LoL...I can pull and engine pretty quickly now a days, trannys too

Myth 2: Newer engines can go longer between changes,,,,, True,,,, but we are not talking about "newer" engines. Myth 2: True on OLD engines.
Myth 5: Once again probably true on a 50 year old engine.
My myth/opinion: You can use new synthetic oil in all engines without any issues. I think older engines like old style oil better than newer oils.

In a recent poll, 9 out of 10 sbc gen 1 engines said they prefer dino oil over synthetic.
