I guess you are ditching the computer?

You have a ‘81?

Specifically bought the '79 and sold the '93 because computers kept dying in the garage.

Another 81 saved.

@Golferdad, when you get it all squared away, please consider posting a thread with the parts list of how you did it. It could help a bunch of other 81 owners.

And..don’t throw any of the old parts in the garbage. Post them for sale or give-away here.
Many of us are looking to NCRS our old cars and any original part will help.
I have an 82, so I don’t need any of your stuff, but there may be some ‘81 owners who could use the parts.
Good luck.
Hope to see some photos soon. The late-models C3’s are my favorites. (I’m sure I’ll get some nasty comments on that one!&#128514

apparently the CCC-e4me wiring harness is stand-alone. it is not integrated into the engine harness. but essentially an add-on to the 80 harness. so it will come right out. parts list to convert to non-CCC setup: carburetor, distributor.

I did the same to my 81. there is only one wire that is part of the harness that runs under the console. It's the a/c wire that connects behind the e-brake and upto the center right of the firewall. That was the only outstanding issue I found. Once I added a new wire to connect the two, everything worked as planned.

These parts are going to be priceless, trust me. Save everything, document it, store it properly. Ask me how I know.

I don't know about priceless - people were ripping them out in 81 the same as they are today
