Default headlight opening adjustment 79

I have looked at a lot of threads on adjusting headlight opening gaps. New to me the drivers side always was tight on rearward on one side and chipped paint when opening.
No issues on opening closing otherwise..

is this the 3 bolts to adjust? how do you get to them if so?

note bolt top left does not tighten its like crossthreaded going in maybe from day one?

Is it the 3 bolts that have play? How do you even get to them without removing fender?? if those are the way to adjust.
It appears i only need to swing it down slightly. I also noted a bolt into bumper that appears stripped form factory but not having anything to do with alignment.
Or do i leave it alone and not open up can worms?

Or do i leave it alone and not open up can worms? This may be truer than you'd like but.......read post 18 here. I'll see if I can find more correct info.

I'd have to check but I'm pretty sure I had to get at the outsides from the hood opening NOPE, looks like I used a short ratchet wrench from underneath, and the insides from underneath (or was it that other way around )

My mistake, LOL, I don't know why but I always think of your car as an older one and forget it's a 79. Your bolt goes in the other way from the older ones you're golden.
Bolt 10 here

I'll check mine in the morning but looking at the pics I took when re-installing it seems I did everything from underneath. That said, I believe the up-stop bracket was left off until I got the positions correct (https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-forward.html Post 11)

I was able to lose some skin and access the drivers outside from on top into the chasm with stubby ratchet and short 1/2 inch socket.
it gets loose fast and it only was able to move forward a slight amount but it did move. I retouched up the chipped paint and will see if enough.
I think you i may need to open up adjustment holes if i want anymore

No we decided that yours (later model) they put the down stop bolt in the other way around so you're is good the way it is

On the older cars, the down-stop is installed with the head head as the stop and the other end of the bolt has a small hex on it.

The stop on the forward link comes over and rests against the hex head of the bolt there.

You would turn the small end which is exposed when the headlight is down.

Not sure what the other end of yours looks like, I wonder what the link rests against...
