Default My New 1980

Hi everyone

I posted a few exterior photos of my new corvette in the Intro forum so this will mainly focus on the interior and engine. I’m looking forward to participating and learning from everyone.

Thanks for looking.

You’ll notice from the window sticker that I have the V54 Roof Panel Carrier. I haven’t even taken the brackets out of the bag yet, nor have I removed the roof panels yet. You can see the bracket attach points here. Of the 40,614 vettes built in 1980, 3,755 had this option.

Thanks! I’ve been looking for months for a C3 and a lot of Vettes look great in the pictures, but when you get there… 🤮

But this one is truly as nice as it looks.

Welcome to the Forum. Beautiful, clean car. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask and search the forum. I had my shares of Vettes. I currently have an 82, I' am addicted to the Corvette. I own an H1 and the 82. They both keep by brain clear!

Thanks everyone! I’m really enjoying the car. I was surprised to find the 8 tracks in the glove box, and excited the player works. It sounds great too.

I blew my first fuse. The previous owner reported the glovebox light didn’t work. As I was poking around with the switch, it shorted out. Turns out the ground wire slipped off. It’s all fixed now. My First Repair!

Looks great. You may already know this, but flip your center console cushion so that the rectangular part is at the front of the car and the flared out section is at the rear. The flared out section will nestle behind the rear of each seat.

HA… thanks for that. That’s how it was when I received it from the previous owner. I’m going to the garage right now to change it.

Beautiful car! One of my favorite combinations is a red on red 1980. Looks like it is in real nice original condition.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum.
Beautiful 80!
The glove box light probably failed because it was embarrassed for you to see the titles on those 8 track tapes.
