I picked up a tilt/tele column for my 69. the interlock arm on the separate piece that is pressed onto the shift tube was broken when I bought it. No clue why someone would cut it off. It is not required to operate the car but I do like the nuance that the key can only be pulled out when the car is in reverse.
I have pulled the tilt column apart, was going to weld the interlock arm back on assuming that the tube won’t be effected by the heat. Or I was thinking about savaging some parts off the standard column that came with the car, will the shift tube from a 69 standard column fit onto the tilt/tele column?
