Default Stubborn Plug Fix?

The light for the glovebox connector plugs:
one came apart easy. The other seems to be glued together. Is there a “release” trick to get these apart?

have you tried a very small blade flat screwdriver and inserted it into the connector to separate it?

I have tried a small screwdriver, in multiple ways. I think the issue is that one of the metal tines (prongs?) has become bent and is now acting like a clip to hold the two halves together. Sadly, it seems like the only option is to cut and replace. Thanks for the help.

See if you insert the screwdriver in the wire end if you can release the metal from the plastic and slide the plastic down the wire.
