Default 1982 front eblem

Does anyone have the part number for the front emblem for the 82, not the Collector Edition, the regular car ? I don't have a factory parts manual to look it up. My car is missing the emblem and I need to buy one, I've searched Ebag, a few of the Corvette resto shops such as CorvetteAmerica and Eklers. All I'm finding is the Collector Car emblem. Does anyone have one for sale ? I'd prefer NOS but I'll take anything in great condition or new. Thanks

Not sure, but can you use the fuel door emblem on the hood? It looks pretty much identical to the hood emblem. Corvette Pacifica has them for sale - part number 14042293 (non-collectors edition). I don't own a non-collector's 82 to look at for comparison, but from pics on the internet, they look pretty close.

Another option if you are not a purist....I was looking into replacing those on my 81 and got hold of C7 set.

Placement testing so far but not double-taped down yet. The one on the gas door will cover the holes from the stock emblem.

My nose was missing a front emblem so was playing with using the second one in the set for the nose.

The gas door and nose emblems are not interchangeable due to the fasteners and the crease in the nose. If anything ever happens to mine I'll buy the collectors emblem and simply saw off the ring.

Haha. I thought about mentioning that too, however, I've read that the Anniversary emblem is basically a slightly modified 77-79 emblem with block lettering "Corvette Collector's Edition" inside that outer ring you mentioned. Assuming that is true, then the OP could just purchase a 77-79 emblem and be done with it - just would need to paint over the chrome with some flat black paint. Easy enough if you've ever built a model car. Those emblems are readily available.... The pattern of the red flag is a bit different, though. You'll only see the bowtie in the 82 emblem....

Or... like you said, just purchase a collectors edition and remove the ring. Seems a waste though, since the collectors edition emblems are roughly DOUBLE in cost compared to the 77-79 emblems.

77-79 (below)...

and 82 non-anniversary (below)...

Unless, the OP's car is being judged at an NCRS event, then who's going to notice? Heck, I had to double check myself. haha
