Hi all
New to this fourm. I have a 1971 LT-1. I bought it in 1981. As far as I can it is a numbers matching car. The first 10 years of my Vettes life were not kind. Some one installed a Hurst shifter not bad but they welded the exhaust and cut off the mount on the trans. Cooked the backup switch. Put on a over the counter carb. Trashed the 1-2 gears in the trans. Pinched off the left rear brake line? Took off the A.I.R. system. Both half shafts have had some hammer work done to them. This just what I can think of now.
I have... Had the trans rebuilt, replaced all the brake callipers and lines, fixed the backup lights, found an almost correct date (1 month off) Holley 780cfm carb, had the seats recoverd OEM. and over 40 years alot more.
Why am I here. I want to replace the weather stripping and would like know the kit with the best fit.
Thanks BOB
Though there is some good quality foreign made rubber, that does fit well, your best bet is the US made weatherstrip from Corvette Rubber, which is available through most Corvette vendors.
