Hi guys, new C3 owner here... my first classic. I have a list of small issues I'm working through but I started on an easy one. Windshield wipers didn't work when I bought the '69 about a month ago, but the vacuum operated door did work. I figured out there was a broken override switch which was an easy fix and the wipers operated fine after that, but then detected someone did a delete on the vacuum wiper park switch that holds the door open till wipers park. Got one of those and installed it and now that works... but the wipers don't seem to park deep enough on the vacuum switch to allow the wiper door to close. If I push on the wiper just a tad, it will then close with no issue.
Anyone have some guidance on the proper way to adjust this?
if the switch you installed won't slide up more then you can adjust where the wipers sit when parked so they are a little lower. Loosen the two nuts on either side of where the linkage meets the motor
That will make them sit a little lower on that switch
The setting process in the AIM is well explained
