First Road Trip

We took our 1980 out on our first road trip today. From St. Louis to Mid America Motorworks in Effingham Illinois (2 hours each way). The car performed perfectly, and the A/C practically froze us out of the cabin. And I picked up some Corvette merchandise too.

What a fun day it was!

BTW, just curious as to what the price of gas was on those pumps? Beautiful ride.

Shoot… what a dope. I didn’t even look. Zooming in on my pictures it looks like one say 20 cents, and the other says 24 cents per gallon.

Nothing like a road trip in your favorite hot rod. My wife and I typically don't do 2 hours one way but maybe do one hour what ever direction suits use for breakfast or lunch. We love it.
