I’m reassembling my console after way too long and I have an extra grey wire near the fan switch connector. Any idea where this goes?

That’s a distinct possibility, I already had several busted wires that I reattached to the center stack gauges. I’ll check it once I’m done with a few errands.

Thanks!

with Ralphspears, gray wires are for instrument lights. Do you have a metal socket stuck in the climate control module with no wire? Cigarette lighter socket should have a light bulb. If an automatic trans, could be one there too.

As I finally found out, the heater control light has two wires. The orphan wire goes to this bulb socket. Apparently the center contact broke off and left this wire wire loose. I bought a generic socket and will transfer the center connector to my socket.
