Default Good bye C3

I had a real wake up call selling my C3. I realized when a well known corvette dealer wouldn’t take it on a trade that I made it a hot rod not a corvette. Still it’s was a beautiful and fast car. Sold it to a friend that helped my wife build it for me 6 years ago. I bought a C6 2009. So saying goodbye to C3s. I do love that curvy body though. Now she has a flat rear end.

How about picture of C3, you mentioned it, and time to show it off, along with C6?

Totally different car. 21,000 miles 2009. 3lt

Just get in and go. It has a radio, ac and more than 3 gears! I don’t get the compliments on this one like the other though.

That’s some unusual routing for the fuel line as well as the rad hose.

Nice C6!

I have a C3 and a C5. Every once in a while I think about selling both and getting a newer C6 but it's nice to have the two very different driving experiences.

I like your C3. It's tastefully updated IMO. Nothing crazy or radical like silly hood scoops or any weird add ons. Sorry to hear that you sold it, but you're still a Corvette owner, and that's what counts!

They didn't take it as a trade cause they could see all the problems, not because it's a hot rod LOL

LAter model C6's like yours are great!

I've driven a couple of C6's, an '08 Coupe and an '11 ZR1.
Both were great cars & much more user friendly than a C3.....especially if you're an old guy like me...

Still being a Vette owner.....that's where it's at...

Nice! You’ll miss the C3 though. As much as I like our C7 I never pick it over the C3 for a cruise, date night or old guy errands (that take twice as long as they should)

Ya I had to move the gas line once further away from the headers you should have seen how close they were before. Gas was evaporating. I just took the easiest way. Not the best or most patient mechanic. Thanks for the compliments.

trofas...what are ya' going to do with all that spare time?
(C3 Vettes are similar to Harleys...drive 'em a day/work on 'em a day )

Little of this and reading about how to keep the one I have nice. Will take some time to learn how to focus on other parts of life. That car was a love hate relationship that consumed me for 9 months out of the year. 3 months was winter when I tried to forget about it.

I’m partial to the C3 as I’m a hands on type of guy.
Beautiful color on the C3, what is it?

It’s a 1982 color silver blue. That car because of the color got way more compliments and attention than the c6. I didn’t want red or a hot dark color. And the original color brown was definitely out.
