74 Rear Window Replacement
My '74 original rear window has some bad stains and I'm thinking of ordering a new one and a rear window seal kit. Total parts cost looks to be about $200. Has anyone else taken this on rather than calling in one of those professional windshield repair places that come to your home to do the job? I'm a bit concerned as the owner before me put some heavy black caulking around the window as it was obviously leaking, so I'm wondering if calling a windshield repair service in might save me a lot of time and trouble.
Thoughts?
Oh, and Happy National Corvette Day - apparently, it's a real thing

Remove the front trim:
Then remove the frame that holds the glass in place:
Then remove the glass and clean it and the car body.:
With both surfaces spotless apply the butyl tape to the body and install the glass.
The butyl tape will hold the glass in place as you reinstall the frame and trim.
Enjoy your now leak proof Corvette!
