have dougs headers and sidepipes my drivers side connection from header to sidepipe seems to leak,attempted to fix it by changing bolt out at clamp and grinding compression joint a liitle wider also adde some JBweld muffler paste ,somehow that leak allways finds it way back, any other type of gasket maker i could use in there would be helpful or any,suggestions
Mine are also leaking. I am running Hooker Maxflow inserts. A friend was driving his c4 on a long trip with me and he said it's very noticeable however, I barely hear it. I was planning to try the exhaust repair tape and wrapping the entire system with DEI titanium header wrap.
What mufflers (inserts) are in the side pipes? I found the quiet mufflers are quiet. But have a lot of back-pressure. Possible reason for the leak and why your repairs do not last.
