Aw, don’t make fun of the ‘80; it’s still a cool car.

Im fortunate (money wise) that the C8 hasn't grown on me. It may be a cousin to the C3 but to me its too ugly to be a kissing cousin.

Both beautiful cars but lack of a manual transmission in the C8 is a big strike to me.

Agreed!

But if it is about evolution, particular in regards to performance...

But then again, a manual shift trans is a major factor for me.

To each there own. But the new car just isn't the same kind of experience.
And Auto only really does seal the deal.
Just not fun being driven around by a computerised transmission.

I, for one, like the pic. My goal is to have a 2022 Red C8 to be a distant cousin 5x removed to my 1972 Red C3.

Jim, what part of STL are you in? I'm near Troy, MO.

Just to clarify… the C8 isn’t mine. It was parked in my neighborhood the other day and I jumped out of my Vette to snap the picture.

STL ZH, I’m in Chesterfield MO.

Im retired and really don’t want to spend the $$$ for a C8. I’m getting plenty of enjoyment from my 1980.

Vehicle prices are crazy now, especially the C8, so I don’t balme you one bit.
I just rewired my '72 this Spring and I'm back to enjoying it after 8 years of being tucked away in the corner of my shop due to her always leaving me stranded on the side of the road..

If you're ever out this way in your car I'd love to meet up!
My family and I just ate at Vette's Restaurant in St. Peters yesterday. Have you ever been there? Lots of Corvette decorations, pretty cool 😎
